All size guides

The complete list of size guides on TheSize.net, grouped by section and sorted A to Z within each one.

Each section below gathers the guides for one kind of thing. Within a section, guides are sorted alphabetically. Some categories have a hub guide with a page for each size: the TV size guide leads to individual pages from 32 to 98 inches, and the laptop, monitor and tablet hubs work the same way. Use the search box at the top of any page to jump straight to a product or a standard.

How to read the guides

  • Both unit systems. Every guide gives imperial and metric. US-market sizes lead with inches; ISO and metric-native sizes such as A4 lead with millimeters or centimeters.
  • Exact conversions. Figures are converted from the defining value (1 in = 25.4 mm exactly) and rounded once, to the precision you would measure with.
  • Nominal and actual sizes. Where a product's name is not its measurement, such as a 2 × 4 or a 65-inch TV, the guide gives both.
  • Sources named. Each guide ends with the standards, regulations or manufacturer specifications its figures come from.

For your own measurements, the unit converter handles length, area, volume, weight and temperature, the comparison tool sets two sizes side by side, and the standards reference explains who defines which sizes. Grouped reading lists for projects such as a home office or a move are on the size guides by project page.
