The site is static and has no contact form, accounts or comments, so email is the only channel. We do not ask for or need any personal information beyond what you choose to put in your message.
Reporting an error
Corrections are handled first, because a wrong measurement can cost a reader a returned sofa or a refitted cabinet. A useful report includes:
- The page address, for example https://thesize.net/paper/a4/.
- The figure you think is wrong, quoted as it appears, and the table or section it is in.
- The correct value and its source: a standard (with its number and year if you have it), a manufacturer spec sheet, a regulation or an official guidance page. A link is ideal.
We check every report against the source before changing anything. If you measured an item yourself, tell us the model and how you measured it; that helps, although we will still confirm against a published figure before editing a guide.
Questions about a size
We are happy to hear what a guide is missing, and suggestions often become new tables or sections. We cannot give individual advice on whether a specific item will fit your space, and we cannot confirm dimensions for a particular product on a manufacturer's behalf. For built-in appliances, structural work or child safety products, the manufacturer's installation guide is the authority.
Privacy requests
To exercise a data right (access, deletion, correction or opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information), email privacy@thesize.net and say which right you are using and which jurisdiction you are in. Because we do not run accounts, most data about visits is held by our analytics and advertising partners; the privacy policy explains what they collect and how to opt out directly, and the cookie policy lists the cookies involved.
Response times
A small team reads every message. We aim to reply to corrections and privacy requests first, and privacy requests are answered within the time the applicable law allows (one month under GDPR, 45 days under the CCPA). General messages are answered as time permits, and we may not be able to reply to every suggestion individually.
We do not respond to requests for paid links, guest posts or sponsored placements. The about page explains why.
